Jed Weeks - Director of Bands – Jed Weeks is in his seventh year as the Director of the Byron Nelson High School Band in Trophy Club, Texas. Previously, from 2004-2010, he was the Band Director at Colleyville Heritage High School in Grapevine, Colleyville ISD. Under his direction, the CHHS Marching Band traveled to the Bands of America Grand National Championships in 2008 for the first time in school history.  His band also placed in the finals at two BOA Regional competitions in 2007 and again in 2009.  In the 2004-2005 competition season, his band won first place honors at the Carrollton Tournament of Champions Marching Band Contest as well as the caption award for best Percussion. Prior to his appointment to CHHS, he was the associate director of bands at Richland High School in North Richland Hills, Texas from 1999-2004.  He was also associate director of bands at Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas (1998-1999), and Clements High School in Sugarland, Texas (1995-1998). He served as a substitute musician for the Houston Symphony Orchestra and San Antonio Symphony Orchestra on Trombone from 1995-1998.   Mr. Weeks also currently serves as Program Coordinator for the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps. Brad Toth - Assistant Band Director – Brad Toth is in his second year at Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club, Texas, but has been involved in music education for 16 years.  He was band director at Pflugerville High School for 8 years and has been an active clinician in Texas and throughout the U.S. for the past 15 years. He has worked as an instructor with the Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps for several years before becoming a brass instructor with the Blue Knights in 2011.  He is in his 6th year as Brass Captain Head.  Brad performed with The Cadets for four years playing the trumpet and served as drum major in 2001.  Brad and his wife, Sara, moved to Fort Worth 3 years ago from the Austin area and are loving it here! John Bingaman - Percussion Director – Prior to his recent appointment at Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club, Texas, Mr. Bingaman was the percussion instructor at John Horn High School in Mesquite, TX. The John Horn Drumline experienced notable success with consistent top finishes in the HEB Drumline Contest, the Plano Drumline Competition, and the Lone star Drumline Contest while also being awarded with caption awards for snares, tenors, basses, and front ensemble. The Jaguar Drumline won the Lonestar Drumline Contest 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 while achieving the highest drumline score in the advanced divisions in 2012-14. The John Horn Drumline also placed third at the 2012 Percussive Arts Society Marching Percussion Festival in the standstill division and won the award for best bass line. The John Horn High School Band was also an Area Finalist in 2012. In addition to the drumline, Mr. Bingaman taught the entire 6-12 percussion program which consisted of beginning percussion classes, percussion ensembles, solo preparation and band preparation at all levels. At the Texas Music Educators Association Convention held in San Antonio, John Horn High School was represented with three all-state percussionists in 2013, two in 2014, and two in 2015. Michael Moore - Assistant Band Director – Michael Moore is in his 5th year teaching and 5th year as Assistant Band Director at Byron Nelson High School.  His duties include teaching Concert Band, Jazz Band, and AP Music Theory as well as assisting with the Marching Band, Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band. Mr. Moore graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Christian University where he studied Clarinet with Gary Whitman.  He was a four year member of the Wind Symphony and Principal Clarinet of the Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Moore currently resides in Roanoke, Texas with his wife Anna Lee, daughter Harper and Australian Shepherd, Jax.  He enjoys watching movies in his media room, cooking delicious meals and spending time with family.
